While the Old Town Trogir is relatively small and tucked away on a small island between the mainland to the north and Čiovo Island to the south, it's still a surprisingly busy and bustling nautical center. Its proximity to Split Airport makes this UNESCO World Heritage site accessible to holiday-makers, and its marinas offer all-around shelter with luxurious amenities. Some of the most interesting nautical destinations are just a short sail away - Paklinski Islands near Hvar, hidden coves and bays of Brač island, and the labyrinthine waterways of Kornati National Park. The area around Trogir is packed with secluded beaches, snorkeling spots in the shallows, and high-end restaurants and wineries. Ashore, you could - and should - visit nearby Roman ruins dotting the coastline (especially in Split and Zadar), or visit the Krka National Park.
