The village of Pomer lies deep inside the inner basin of Medulinski Zaljev, on the northwest side. It’s home to Marina Pomer with its luxurious amenities, and only a short drive from Pula (6 miles) and Pula Airport (10 miles, taxis and private shuttle buses available). Medulinski Zaljev itself offers all-around nautical shelter, and it’s a great starting point for exploring the Istrian Peninsula. Set sail and laze around the quiet and accessible coves of Kamenjak Nature Park or visit the nearby Brijuni National Park. Further up the eastern coast, other nautical towns await - Rovinj, Poreč, and Umag in Croatia, Izola and Koper in Slovenia, and Trieste in Italy. On the other side of the Peninsula is Bay of Kvarner and the islands of Cres-Lošinj archipelago, which don’t offer charter services but are easily reachable from Pomer. On the shore, there are a number of Roman sites you can visit, such as remains of Roman villas at Pomer Marina or at Vižula, and the perfectly preserved Roman Amphitheater in Pula (often hosting world-renowned pop and rock artists and bands in the summer months).
